These are not things that stir me to wrath or drive me to sin. Just things that I find displeasing, annoying and inconvenient. I thought I would share them with you because I’m certain that I am not the only one who is put off by these niggly little things:
When someone is upset or ofended by you, but instead of telling you, they share it with someone else and now there are two people upset with you.
Sending someone a text or leaving a message and they don’t return the call but seeing That they were on Facebook 40 seconds ago.
Going to the bathroom strictly to wash your hands, washing them really good, drying them and THEN having to use the bathroom.
Hearing the band in church playing music and singing the song along with the music, only for everyone to start singin a completely different song
(“Bottled Up” / “Oh Give Thanks”)
Filling out an application only to find that you’ve written everything on the wrong line
People who know they can’t hear in church but continually ask me
“What did he say?”
People who know my payday better than I do and know what I have left.
When there are two lanes of traffic and there is a car ahead of me in each lane but neither of them will drive fast enough for me to follow or slow enough for me to pass.
When I tell a story or tell of an experience and someone follows up with
“…that aint’ nothin’ let me tell you what happened to me…”
That ain’t nothin?
When the completion of my work is predicated on the work
of someone who does not have my work ethic.
Being in a hurry/Being late
No matter how much my lateness is an inconvenience to you, I have already beat myslef over the head a thousand times because I am late. Being in a hurry makes my stomach ache.
When the musician in church is playing music totally unrelated to
whatever is going on in the service.
When people are adamant about giving incorrect information
When people dont have common courtesy or basic manners
People who don’t know when to curse
I don’t condone cursing, but I do understand that tings will drive some people to do so. I don’t like the person who just spouts out obscenities as nouns and adverbs in their everyday speaking.
People who stay on the phone when I am with them
but don’t answer when I call
Dropping keys, change or french fries in my car only for them to fall in that litle space between the center console and the seat
When I have walked around with a cuff unfolded, a zipper unzipped, a loose string or something else out-of-place and no one has said anything all day
When people call me and ask me what I am doing
(I’m talking on the phone, idiot!)
When I just had something in my hand and then can’t find it
…of any kind to anyone for any reason. If you hate me because I am a JERK, that is my fault.
If you hate me because I am a JEW, then you, my friend, are the one with the problem.
When I ask someone a question and they don’t respond.
People who use big words incorrectly
If you have to “curb your dog” shouldn’t you have to “curb your child” as well?
People who are late for everything but seem to always be key personnel
If you don’t respect my time, you don’t respect me.
